About Desert Sage Dental

I am originally from Sunnyside, Washington and I attended BYU for my undergraduate studies and then on to the University of Oklahoma for my DDS. I started my private solo practice in 2004 and then in 2015 added Dr. Zentz to the team.

I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry, but I have a particular passion for surgical procedures (grafting, implants, periodontal surgeries, etc). Continuing education has been critical for me to stay updated on the latest technologies and procedures.

My wife, Danielle, and I have been blessed with seven children, and we reside in Kennewick. In my spare time, I like to travel and spend time outdoors, boating on the river in summer or riding motorcycles on the roads and wherever sand dunes are found. In addition to my family and work activities, I also participate in politics through my elected position on the Kennewick City Council.

I come from Spokane, Washington, and I attended both Washington State University for my undergraduate degree and the University of Washington for my DDS degree. My passion for dentistry comes from a deeply personal place; I was born with a cleft lip and palate, which led to over 12 major surgeries during my childhood. Those experiences profoundly shaped my career choice, inspiring me to dedicate myself to providing the same level of exceptional treatment I received. My goal is to give my patients the same confidence and care that I was fortunate enough to receive throughout my dental journey.

Outside of dentistry, my wife Mehak, who is also a dentist, and I love spending quality time with our daughter. We enjoy outdoor activities like fishing and golfing together.

I grew up in sunny Southern California and obtained my undergraduate degree from the UC-Irvine. Then I decided to try the opposite coast, and received my DDS from NYU. I was eager to get back to the best coast and ended up in the PNW. I have been in the Tri-Cities ever since and I love it!

I am passionate about all aspects of dentistry, and especially orthodontics with clear aligners, cosmetics with crowns and veneers, and surgery with extractions and implants. But the best part of general dentistry is being able to provide comprehensive care to my patients.

In my free time, I enjoy exploring the outdoors with some camping, hiking and the two together, backpacking. I was also part of the NYU collegiate cycling team, so I’ll still try to enjoy the road on my bike as much as I can. And last but not least, visiting my family in California is my favorite pastime, especially to see my nephew!
